The grade 8 Industrial Arts classes at W.E.S. build furniture projects through which they learn about project planning, wood movement, wood joints, safe use of woodworking machines, power tools and hand tools.  (Click Read More to see more pictures.)

The grade 7 Industrial Arts program begins with instruction on general safety and the use of hand tools.  The students are building a variety of projects such as the ones pictured.  (Click Readmore to see more.)

The grade 6 Industrial Arts exploratory is a short introductory program which introduces students to woodworking.  Students begin by learning some general safety and are then introduced to two more machines.  Students this year are building Coaster sets.  The coasters will include an engraved image of their choice.
