Winkler Elementary School

Winkler Elementary School (WES) is one of three elementary schools in the city of Winkler, Manitoba, Canada. Located at 8th Street and Mountain Avenue in Winkler, WES is a K-8 school with over 550 students.

Winkler Elementary School offers a variety of programs and activities for students.

Programs include

    Second language instruction of German or French, starting in grade 4

    Band instruction, starting in grade 5

    Home Economics and Industrial Arts in grades 7 and 8

Activities include

    Noon hour intramurals in grades 5-8

    Extra-curricular sports teams in soccer, cross-country, volleyball, basketball, badminton, and track and field

    Volunteer choir programs in grades 4-6 and grade 7&8

    Jr. high jazz band and jazz choir

    Jr. high Student Council

Winkler Elementary School is supported by an active Advisory Council and a strong parent community.
